Verizon has recently changed the way outgoing email is allowed from 3rd party Domains to travel across their network for Residential Verizon DSL, Residential Verizon FIOS & all customers with Dynamic IP addresses.
Verizon Business customers
and customers with Static IP addresses are NOT effected by this change.
In order to send email on a Verizon Internet Access connection you must change your mail client out going SMTP settings to:
1. Username:
Your Verizon outgoing email/account user name
2.
Change your SMTP Mail Server name to outgoing.verizon.net
3. Change password to your Verizon Email/Account Password.
If you do not know your Verizon email settings & password, you will need to contact Verizon. They will not provide you with support to make these changes other than giving you your password... upon getting that info, we can help you from there.
If you need assistance with this, please contact us at 562-429-7283.
